Our mission

To make expert concussion management accessible, preventative, and embedded within sport and education.

Meet the Team

Tom McKeever, Clinical Director

Tom oversees ClearMind's testing and rehabilitation services. He has worked as a pitch-side physiotherapist for over seven years and has practised physiotherapy for a decade. Tom has firsthand experience managing youth athletes with suspected concussions at pitch-side and in the clinic.

Having sustained a traumatic brain injury himself at the age of 13, Tom received expert care from medical teams in Edinburgh, with significant follow-up support. This accident led Tom to study physiotherapy, and he recently completed his PhD in medical and pathway management of concussed youth athletes in Scotland at Edinburgh Napier University.

Tom has studied and published research on youth concussion management and highlights the lack of bespoke and personalised services to support anyone in the UK who has been injured.

Reflecting on the expert care he received at the age of 13, Tom's mission is to improve the care of all those who sustain a more mild traumatic brain injury - also known as a concussion.
